✉️ Open Letter to His Excellency Governor Mutuma Isaac, Meru County
Date: 19th March 2025
His Excellency Governor Mutuma Isaac,
Meru County Government,
Meru, Kenya.
Dear Governor Isaac,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I write to you not just as a concerned citizen but as someone deeply passionate about the untapped potential that lies within our creative community in Meru County.
As the global creative economy continues to grow, local artists here remain under-supported, despite their ability to drive economic growth and preserve our cultural heritage. Meru is home to many talented musicians, visual artists, dancers, and filmmakers, yet we lack a dedicated department to support and develop this sector.
I kindly request that you consider establishing a department specifically for the arts and creative industries in Meru County. Such a department would provide vital resources, training, and platforms to help our artists thrive and contribute to Meru’s economic and cultural development.
Your leadership can empower artists, create jobs, and place Meru at the forefront of the creative industries. I am hopeful that this vision will come to life under your guidance.
Thank you for your time, and may you continue to lead with wisdom and compassion.
Warm regards,
MUTUA KAIMENYI
